Outside the restaurant, Toad stared at the car

He kicked the tires lightly

他轻轻踢了踢轮胎。

" What shiny wheels!" he said

“多闪亮的轮子！”他说。

" They could handle any kind of road."

Without thinking, Toad hopped inside

蟾蜍不假思索地跳了进去。

" Ohh, the seats are leather!" he cried

Toad saw the key still in the car

蟾蜍看到车钥匙还插在车上。

" I wonder what it sounds like?" thought Toad

“不知道它听起来怎么样？”蟾蜍想。

His hand shook as he reached out

他伸出手时，手在发抖。

" Should I?" asked Toad

“我该拧吗？”蟾蜍问。

Then he smiled

然后他笑了。

" Why not? Just one little turn of the key."

“为什么不呢？就轻轻拧一下钥匙。”

Toad turned the key and the engine roared

蟾蜍拧动钥匙，引擎轰鸣起来。

" I wonder how fast it goes," said Toad

“不知道它能跑多快。”蟾蜍说。

Toad drove out of the parking lot

蟾蜍把车开出了停车场。

" It feels so good to drive again!" yelled Toad

“再次开车的感觉真好！”蟾蜍大叫。

He stepped on the gas pedal

他踩下油门。

Toad sped down the road

蟾蜍沿着路飞驰。

He lost all thoughts of right and wrong

他把是非对错全抛到了脑后。

Lord of the Trail!" yelled Toad

道路之王！”蟾蜍喊道。

" I am King of the Road!"

“我是公路之王！”

He didn't know where he was going

他不知道要去哪儿。

He didn't care who saw him

他也不在乎被谁看见。
