Huey cleared his throat and pointed to the well

" But my wish hasn't come true yet," argued Cy

Crossing his arms, Huey asked

休伊抱起双臂，问道：

" Has any wish not come true so far?"

The children admitted that every wish had indeed come true

" This one will too."

Huey disappeared into his shell

Cy lowered him down, mumbling," I don't see any dinosaurs."

" Let's go home," Cy said in a disappointed voice

The children started to walk back home

Panther remarked, holding Lamb close to her

Bobby took steps behind his brother

The leaves on one tree swayed side to side

Then the children felt the ground tremble

" Something's coming this way," whispered Cy excitedly

" What is it?" Jane asked, close to tears

Suddenly a huge dinosaur with many horns appeared among the trees

突然，一只长着很多角的巨大恐龙出现在树林间。

" It's a rhino," Bobby said in awe

“是犀牛。”博比敬畏地说。

The huge dinosaur did resemble a rhinoceros in many ways

这只巨大的恐龙在很多方面确实很像犀牛。

But it was much bigger and scarier

但它要大得多，也更可怕。

" No, that's not a rhino," Cy corrected

“不，那不是犀牛，”小赛纠正道。

" That's a Centrosaurus."

“那是一只尖角龙。”

The Centrosaurus did not know the children were watching him

He continued to eat the leaves off the trees and plants

" Is he dangerous?" Jane said in a tiny voice

Cy nodded." But if we don't bother him, we would be safe."

" So Huey gave you your wish," said Panther

At that moment, the Centrosaurus lifted his head and sniffed the air

He grunted loudly and pawed the ground

" Uh-oh," said Cy," I think he can smell us."

" What do we do?" asked Bobby

Slowly now," Cy said in a calm voice

The children stepped back deeper into the woods

Safely away from the dinosaur, Cy jumped up in excitement

" This must be the Cretaceous period," he said

" These dinosaurs lived over 130 million years ago."

The children's eyes grew wide with interest─except for Lamb's

" We can't leave him," argued Panther

" We won't go far," said Cy

" Just around that tree."

Panther admitted that seeing the giant creatures was very fascinating

She kept a close eye on Lamb but followed Cy

" That one is an iguanodon,"

Cy said, pointing to a creature with a long, stiff tail

" That one has a duck's bill," giggled Jane

“那只有着鸭子一样的嘴。”吉吉咯咯笑着说。

She indicated a tall dinosaur with short arms

她指着一只高大、前肢短小的恐龙。

" That's a Corythosaurus," Cy said

“那是冠龙。”小赛说。

" It looks like he's wearing a helmet."

“看起来就像戴着头盔一样。”

Bobby laughed aloud

波比大声笑了起来。

He was referring to the crest on its head

他指的是它头上的那个冠饰。

The children would have watched the dinosaurs longer, but something terrible had happened

" Cy, where's Lamb?" Panther cried

They looked back where Lamb had been sleeping

But he was gone
