Meanwhile, a boy was walking by the stream and saw Marvin trying to get out of the puddle

He carefully scooped him up in a cup

For what seemed like a very long time, Marvin was cramped in a small, dark container

Then he was dumped into a crowded glass tank with strange fish

" Oh, how I wish I were back in the pond again with my friends," sighed Marvin

Days went by, and Marvin began to lose hope of ever going home again

He began to sink lower and lower in the tank

Pretty soon he just stayed on the bottom

Then, to his amazement, he saw Lily!

Her parents had taken her to the pet store where Marvin had ended up

Marvin swam right up to the glass and wiggled his long tail back and forth as fast as he could, trying to get her attention
