Once there was a bear who lived in a meadow

He was very big

And he was always very hungry

His name was Bo Bo

One day, Bo Bo smelled honey

He followed his nose to a tree

Then he looked up

然后，他抬头看了看。

There he saw a huge beehive hanging on a branch!

" My lucky day!" he said

Carefully, Bo Bo climbed the tree

波波小心翼翼地爬上了树。

And, carefully, he climbed out onto the branch

But Bo Bo was too heavy

可是波波太重了。

The branch broke

树枝断了。

Down he fell, with the beehive, to the ground. THUMP!

The bees came out, and started to chase Bo Bo

蜜蜂飞了出来，开始追赶波波。

Bo Bo ran away

波波逃跑了。

He ran faster and faster

他跑得越来越快。

" HELP ME!" he screamed." Somebody help me!"

“救命！”他尖叫道，“谁来救救我！”

Freddy the frog heard Bo Bo screaming

青蛙弗雷迪听到了波波的尖叫。

Then he saw the bees

接着他看见了蜜蜂。

" Quick! Jump in the pond!" Freddy yelled

“快！跳进池塘里！”弗雷迪大喊道。

Bo Bo jumped right in, and the bees flew away

波波立刻跳了进去，蜜蜂就飞走了。

" Thank you!" said Bo Bo when he came up for air

“谢谢你！”波波浮出水面换气时说。

" You saved my life!"

“你救了我的命！”

旁白 neutral

" You're welcome," said Freddy kindly

“不用谢，”弗雷迪温和地说。

" This pond is my home

“这个池塘是我的家。

You were lucky to be running this way

你很幸运往这边跑。

Can I ask you a question?"

我能问你一个问题吗？”

" Sure," said Bo Bo

“当然，”波波说。

" Why were those bees chasing you?"

“那些蜜蜂为什么追你？”

Bo Bo scratched his fuzzy head

波波挠了挠他毛茸茸的头。

" I don't know. Maybe they were angry."

“我不知道。也许它们生气了。”

Freddy was smarter than most frogs

弗雷迪比大多数青蛙都聪明。

And he was definitely smarter than Bo Bo

而且他肯定比波波聪明。

" I bet you wanted their honey, right?" he asked

“我打赌你想要它们的蜂蜜，对吧？”他问道。

" Oh yeah," Bo Bo remembered sadly

Freddy thought for a moment

He felt sorry for the bear

Then he said," Are you hungry?

I know where you can catch some tasty fish, and I can catch some tasty flies."

He licked his lips

他舔了舔嘴唇。

" Sure!" said Bo Bo happily

He followed Freddy to a stream

他跟着弗雷迪来到一条小溪边。

" There are lots of fish here," said Freddy

“这里有很多鱼，”弗雷迪说。

" Just wait and you'll see."

“等着瞧吧。”

Bo Bo waited. Soon he saw lots of fish

波波等着。不一会儿，他就看到了好多鱼。

Better than honey!

比蜂蜜还好！

He jumped into the water to grab a fish

他跳进水里想去抓鱼。

But then he heard Freddy screaming

但这时他听到了弗雷迪的尖叫声。

Bo Bo dropped the fish

波波扔下了鱼。

He saw a snake hissing at Freddy

他看见一条蛇正对着弗雷迪嘶嘶地叫着。

" GRRRRRR!" Bo Bo growled at the snake

“嗷呜！”波波对着蛇低吼。

旁白 neutral

The snake slipped away

蛇溜走了。

旁白 neutral

" Th-th-thank you," Freddy said, shaking all over

“谢、谢、谢谢你，”弗雷迪浑身发抖地说。

" You saved my life."

“你救了我的命。”

旁白 neutral

" That's what friends are for

“朋友就该这样。

旁白 neutral

They help each other," said Bo Bo

互相帮助。”波波说。

旁白 neutral

" Does that mean we're friends now?"

“这是不是说我们现在是朋友了？”

旁白 neutral

" Yes, I think it does." Freddy smiled

“是的，我想是的。”弗雷迪笑了。

旁白 neutral

" Let's catch some dinner. I'm hungry."

“我们去抓点晚饭吧。我饿了。”

They had a great time catching as many fish and flies as they wanted

他们随心所欲地抓鱼和苍蝇，玩得非常开心。

Freddy showed Bo Bo where all the fish were hiding

弗雷迪给波波看所有鱼躲藏的地方。

And Bo Bo scared away the snakes

而波波则吓跑了蛇。

The two friends sat on the bank of the stream, watching the sun set over the hill

两个朋友坐在溪边，看着太阳在山丘后落下。

" I'm glad I met you," said Bo Bo

“真高兴认识你，”波波说。

" I'm glad I met you," said Freddy

“真高兴认识你，”弗雷迪说。

Then after a while he said," This is only the beginning."

过了一会儿，他又说：“这只是一个开始。”

" The beginning of what?" asked Bo Bo

“什么的开始？”波波问。

" Of our friendship," said Freddy

“我们友谊的开始。”弗雷迪说。

And they watched the sun set, feeling full and happy
