" Baa, baa. Not I. I have to rest," said the goat

“咩咩，咩咩。我不去。我得休息。”山羊说。

" Oink, oink. Not I. I must take a nap," said the pig

“哼哼，哼哼。我不去。我得睡个午觉。”猪说。

" Okay, I will plant the wheat by myself," said Little Red Hen

“好吧，那我就自己去种小麦。”小红母鸡说。

When the summer came, the wheat began to grow

夏天到来的时候，小麦开始生长了。

The weeds grew too

杂草也长了出来。

" Cluck, cluck. Who will help me pluck the weeds?" asked Little Red Hen

" Baa, baa. Not I. It is too hot outside," said the goat

“咩，咩。我不去。外面太热了，”山羊说。

" Oink, oink. Not I. I have to cool off in the mud," said the pig

“哼，哼。我不去。我得在泥里凉快一下，”猪说。

" Okay, I will weed the wheat all by myself," said Little Red Hen

“好吧，我会自己给小麦除草，”小红母鸡说。

When the fall came, the wheat was ripe

秋天来临时，小麦成熟了。

" Cluck, cluck. Who will help me harvest the wheat?" she asked

“咕咕，咕咕。谁愿意帮我收割小麦？”她问。

" Baa, baa. Not I. I am going to a party," said the goat

“咩，咩。我不去。我要去参加一个聚会，”山羊说。

" Oink, oink. Not I. I am eating lunch," said the pig

“哼，哼。我不去。我正在吃午饭，”猪说。

" Okay, I will harvest the wheat all by myself," said Little Red Hen

She harvested the wheat

她收割了小麦。

Then she took it to the mill and ground it into flour

然后她把小麦拿到磨坊，磨成了面粉。

In the winter, there was very little to eat

But Little Red Hen had flour to make bread

" Baa, baa. Not I. I am too tired," said the goat

" Oink, oink. Not I. I want to sleep some more," said the pig

" Okay, I will bake the bread by myself," she said

“好吧，我会自己烤面包，”她说。

When the bread was done, Little Red Hen opened the oven

面包烤好后，小红母鸡打开了烤箱。

The bread smelled delicious!

" Cluck, cluck! Who wants my bread now?" she asked

" Oink, oink! Me too! It looks delicious!" said the pig

“不，你们不能吃。

Whenever I needed help, you did not help me

每次我需要帮忙的时候，你们都不帮我。

I will eat it all by myself," answered Little Red Hen

So the goat and the pig stayed hungry

于是，山羊和猪只好饿着肚子。

Little Red Hen ate the whole loaf of bread all by herself
