" He's not just a monkey," said the raptor

“他不只是一只猴子，”大鹏说。

" He's Sun Wukong, get him!"

“他是孙悟空，抓住他！”

The lion pounced

狮子猛扑过来。

Wukong shot out of the cave as fast as he could

悟空以最快的速度冲出了洞穴。

He didn't stop running until he was far from the cave

他一直跑到离洞穴很远的地方才停下来。

" Phew," the monkey said to himself

“好险，”猴子自言自语道。

" That was close."

“差点就被抓住了。”

" I guess when I laughed I broke my concentration."

“我猜是笑的时候注意力不集中了。”

" That must have made my disguise vanish."

Wukong returned to his companions

悟空回到了同伴身边。

" Well," said Wujing," is there an army up ahead?"

“怎么样，”沙僧问，“前面有大军吗？”

" I scared away the entire army," Wukong boasted

“我把整支大军都吓跑了，”悟空得意地说。

" But there are still three powerful demons on the mountain."

“但山上还有三个厉害的妖怪。”

" They plan to capture Master and, well, eat him."

“他们打算抓住师父，然后，吃了他。”

" Wukong!" cried the Tang Monk, nearly falling over

“悟空！”唐僧大叫，差点摔倒。

Wujing caught him

沙僧扶住了他。

" Don't worry, Master," said Wukong

“别担心，师父，”悟空说。

旁白 neutral

" We won't let those demons harm you."

“我们不会让那些妖怪伤害你的。”

" But we do have to destroy them before we cross the mountain."

“但我们必须先消灭他们才能翻过这座山。”

" It's good that we discovered their plan before we went up the mountain."

The Tang Monk nodded, wringing his hands nervously

Wukong turned to Baje and Wujing

" Someone needs to help me get rid of the demons."

“得有人帮我对付那些妖怪。”

" I'll go with you," said Baje

" I'll stay here and look after the Tang Monk," said Wujing

“我留在这里照看唐僧，”沙僧说。

Wukong and Baje went to the cave entrance

悟空和八戒来到了洞口。

The monkey pulled out his iron bar

猴子拿出了他的铁棍。

Baje raised his rake

八戒举起了他的钉耙。

" I'll do all the talking," said Wukong

“让我来说，”悟空说。

" What are you going to say?" asked Baje

“你打算说什么？”八戒问。

旁白 neutral

" I'll just ask them nicely to leave," said Wukong

“我就客客气气地请他们离开，”悟空说。

He turned to the cave entrance

他转向洞口。

" Demons!" he shouted

“妖怪们！”他大喊。

旁白 neutral

" Leave this mountain now or we'll knock it down and crush all three of you."

“现在就离开这座山，不然我们把山推倒压死你们三个。”

For a moment, everything was quiet

有一瞬间，四周一片寂静。

Then the lion stepped out of the cave

然后狮子从洞里走了出来。

He towered over the monkey and the pig

他高高地俯视着猴子和猪。

" Why are you out here yelling?" asked the lion calmly

“你在外面嚷嚷什么？”狮子平静地问。

" You, the elephant, and the raptor must leave this mountain at once," said Wukong

“你、大象和大鹏必须马上离开这座山，”悟空说。

旁白 neutral

" Why must we leave?" asked the lion

“我们为什么要离开？”狮子问。

旁白 neutral

" We're not bothering you."

“我们又没惹你们。”

旁白 neutral

" Villain!" shouted the monkey

“恶贼！”猴子喊道。

旁白 neutral

" I know you're planning to capture and eat the Tang Monk."

“我知道你们打算抓唐僧吃了他。”

旁白 neutral

" We haven't touched the Tang Monk," said the lion

“我们没有碰唐僧，”狮子说。

旁白 neutral

" But you, Sun Wukong, you scared away our entire army."

“但你，孙悟空，你吓跑了我们整支大军。”

旁白 neutral

" You're the villain here."

“你才是这里的恶贼。”

旁白 neutral

" I'm not a villain!" shouted Wukong

“我不是恶贼！”悟空喊道。

旁白 neutral

He raised his iron bar and charged toward the lion

他举起铁棍朝狮子冲了过去。

旁白 neutral

The lion opened his mouth wide, revealing huge, sharp fangs

狮子张大嘴巴，露出巨大而锋利的獠牙。

Wukong swung his iron bar

悟空挥动铁棍。

旁白 neutral

The lion pounced and gulped

狮子猛扑过来，一口吞下。

旁白 neutral

Baje's face went white with horror

八戒吓得脸色煞白。

" Yikes!" he cried

“天哪！”他大叫。

旁白 neutral

" That lion just swallowed Wukong!"

“那只狮子把悟空吞了！”

旁白 neutral

The pig ran as fast as he could

猪拼命地跑。

旁白 neutral

He didn't stop running until he reached Wujing and the Tang Monk

他一直跑到沙僧和唐僧身边才停下来。

" What happened?" asked Wujing

“怎么了？”沙僧问。

旁白 neutral

" Where's Wukong?"

“悟空呢？”

旁白 neutral

" The journey is over," said the pig between breaths

“旅途结束了，”猪气喘吁吁地说。

旁白 neutral

" Wukong got eaten."

“悟空被吃了。”

旁白 neutral

" What?" cried the Tang Monk

“什么？”唐僧大叫。

旁白 neutral

Baje shook his head

八戒摇了摇头。

旁白 neutral

" We should all just go home."

“我们都回家吧。”

旁白 neutral

Meanwhile, the lion went back into the cave

与此同时，狮子回到了洞里。

His chest was puffed out, and he wore a big smile

他挺着胸膛，脸上带着大大的笑容。

" What happened out there?" asked the elephant

“外面怎么了？”大象问。

旁白 neutral

" Did you scare away Sun Wukong?"

“你把孙悟空吓跑了？”

旁白 neutral

" Not exactly," said the lion

“不完全是，”狮子说。

旁白 neutral

" Well, where is he?" asked the raptor

“那他在哪？”大鹏问。

旁白 neutral

The lion patted his belly

狮子拍了拍肚子。

旁白 neutral

" He's in here."

“他在这里面。”

旁白 neutral

" You ate him?" asked the elephant

“你把他吃了？”大象问。

旁白 neutral

" I did," said the lion

“是的，”狮子说。

旁白 neutral

The raptor shook his head

大鹏摇了摇头。

旁白 neutral

" That was a bad idea."

“那可不是个好主意。”

旁白 neutral

" Why?" asked the lion

“为什么？”狮子问。

旁白 neutral

" Sun Wukong is immortal," said the raptor

“孙悟空是不死之身，”大鹏说。

旁白 neutral

" He's probably still alive inside you."

“他可能还活在你肚子里。”

旁白 neutral

" Yes, I am still alive!" Wukong suddenly shouted

“没错，我还活着！”悟空突然大喊。

" It's nice and warm in here."

“这里面又暖和又舒服。”
