" We were nearly roasted," said Bajie

Wujing looked up at the mountain peak

" The fire is dying down now."

“火现在开始灭了。”

" Yes," said Wukong, looking at the last few wisps of smoke

“是的，”悟空看着最后几缕烟说。

" But he'll use it again if we go back up there."

“但如果我们再上去，他还会再用的。”

" We need water," said Wujing

“我们需要水，”沙僧说。

" Then if he makes fire again, we can just put it out."

" Go back up the mountain and get Red Boy to come out."

The Dragon King flew up into the sky

Wukong and the others returned to the cave

The monkey pounded on the cave door

猴子用力捲着洞门。

The door blew open and Red Boy ran outside

" Release the Tang Monk right now!" shouted Wukong

“立刻放了唐僧！”悟空喊道。

" Never!" shouted the demon

“休想！”妖怪喊道。

He made a fist and punched himself in the nose

他握起拳头，一拳打在自己鼻子上。

Smoke and fire poured from his face again

烟火再次从他脸上喂涌而出。

" Dragon King!" called the monkey

“龙王！”猴子喊道。

" Make it rain!"

“下雨吧！”

Thunder rumbled as dark clouds filled the sky

雷声隆隆，乌云布满天空。

Rain poured down

大雨倾盆而下。

The fire, however, didn't go out

Instead, it grew bigger and bigger

The smoke became thick

Coughing and unable to breathe, Wukong covered his face

He saw Bajie and Wujing running away

The monkey tried to get to the cave door, but the smoke was too thick

猴子试图赶到洞门，但烟太浓了。

He tripped on a rock and tumbled down the side of the mountain

Wukong landed in a river and floated downstream

Finally, he washed up on the riverbank, coughing and wheezing

" Wukong, are you alright?" asked Wujing

" I think so," said the monkey

“我想应该没事，”猴子说。

He coughed again

他又咳了一声。

" That fire is no ordinary fire."

“那不是普通的火。”

旁白 neutral

" The water made it worse."

“水反而让火更旺了。”

旁白 neutral

" You're right," said the pig

“你说得对，”八戒说。

旁白 neutral

" It must be magic fire."

“那一定是魔火。”

旁白 neutral

" What will we do now?"

“我们现在怎么办？”

旁白 neutral

" Red Boy still has the Tang Monk in his cave."

“红孩儿还把唐僧关在洞里呢。”

" I'll ask Guanyin for help," said Wukong, standing up

“我去找观音帮忙，”悟空站起来说。

" You rest," said Bajie

“你休息吧，”八戒说。

旁白 neutral

" You breathed in a lot of smoke."

“你吸了很多烟。”

旁白 neutral

" I'll go to Guanyin."

“我去找观音。”

旁白 neutral

The monkey coughed again

猴子又咳了一声。

旁白 neutral

" Okay, Bajie. But go straight to Guanyin. No naps."

“行吧，八戒。但要直接去找观音。不许睡觉。”

Meanwhile, Red Boy was sitting on his mountain peak

与此同时，红孩儿正坐在山顶上。

" My fire was too powerful for Sun Wukong and his friends," he said to himself

“我的火对付孙悟空和他的朋友们绰绰有余，”他自言自语。

" They must be dead now."

The demon patted his belly

妖怪拍了拍肚子。

" And that is good, because I am hungry."

The demon stood up to leave when he spotted something in the sky

" He's heading south. I wonder why."

Red Boy thought for a minute

" Aha! The Bodhisattva Guanyin lives on Mount Potalaca in the South Sea."

“啊哈！观音菩萨住在南海的普陀洛迦山。”

" The pig must be going to ask her for help."

“那只猪一定是去找她帮忙的。”

“我要拦住他。”

The demon recited a quick spell and light sparkled around him

Now Red Boy looked exactly like Guanyin

" What? Bodhisattva!" cried the pig with a smile

" This is a surprise. I was just coming to see you."

“真是太巧了。我正要去找您呢。”
