Mole ran past the rabbit

The old rabbit fell over

The other rabbits came out of their holes

其他野兔从洞里跑了出来。

They grumbled at the old rabbit

他们对着年老的野兔抱怨起来。

" You should have yelled louder!" a gray rabbit said

“你本该喊得更大声！”一只灰兔说。

" You should have been bold!" said a small one

“你本该更有胆量！”一只小野兔说。

" You should have told him the rules," said a rabbit with a red ribbon

“你本该把规矩告诉他，”一只扎着红丝带的野兔说。

But Mole didn't care

但鼹鼠毫不在意。

" What a fine day for running!" said Mole

“今天真是跑步的好天气！”鼹鼠说。

Suddenly he stopped

他突然停下了脚步。

" What's this?" asked Mole

“这是什么？”鼹鼠问。

He saw something new. A river!

他看到了新鲜的景象。一条河！

He sat on the riverbank

他在河岸边坐了下来。

" The water is so blue!" said Mole

“河水真蓝啊！”鼹鼠说。

" How the waves sparkle!"

“波光多么闪耀！”

Mole looked across the water

鼹鼠朝河对岸望去。

There was a hole in the other riverbank

对岸的河堤上有一个洞。

" What a cozy place to live!" Mole said

“住在那儿可真舒适！”鼹鼠说。

A small face popped out of the hole

一张小脸从洞口露了出来。

It was the Water Rat

是水鼠。

" Hello, Mole!" said Water Rat, waving his hand

“你好，鼹鼠！”水鼠挥着手说。

" Hello, Rat!" said Mole

“你好，水鼠！”鼹鼠说。

" Would you like to come over?" asked Rat

“你想过来吗？”水鼠问。

" Of course," said Mole happily

“当然想，”鼹鼠高兴地说。

Rat stepped into a little boat by his hole

水鼠跨进了他洞口旁的一艘小船。

He rowed over to Mole

他把船划到了鼹鼠跟前。

" Step in!" said Rat

“进来吧！”水鼠说。

旁白 neutral

" This is my first time in a boat!" cried Mole

“这还是我第一次坐船呢！”鼹鼠喊道。

Rat was surprised

水鼠吃了一惊。

" What? Well! Nothing is as great as being in a boat!"

“什么？哎呀！没什么比坐船更美妙了！”
