Roxy pulled herself from the tongue just as the frog's mouth closed

" Eww! Eww! Eww!" cried Roxy, jumping back down to the street

“呕！呕！呕！” Roxy 叫道，跳回到街上。

" This is so gross!

I don't think I can — "

Another frog tongue flicked toward Roxy. Thwap!

又一条青蛙舌头向 Roxy 弹射过来。啪！

" Whoa!" she cried, jumping out of the way

“哇！”她叫道，跳着躲开。

" Aah!" Roxy yelled, looking around

“啊！” Roxy 喊道，环顾四周。

Giant frogs crept everywhere

巨型青蛙到处爬行。

" How am I going to get rid of all these frogs?" Roxy wondered

“我该怎么除掉所有这些青蛙？” Roxy 心想。

" If they were anything else — squirrels, chipmunks, turtles — no problem

I would just pick them up

A fat green frog with brown spots stared at Roxy

一只绿色的肥青蛙，身上有褐色斑点，盯着 Roxy。

Roxy took a step back

But then she realized another frog was behind her

但随即她发现身后还有一只青蛙。

She looked in the alley to her right

A frog was squeezed between the two buildings

一只青蛙被挤在两栋楼之间。

To Roxy's left, another frog croaked

Roxy was surrounded

Everywhere she looked, she saw the bulging eyes of frogs

" Ugh!" said Roxy

" This is the grossest mission I've ever been on!"

Detective Smith called to her

" Rocket Girl! Are you okay?"

" Of course I'm not okay!" yelled Roxy

" I'm about to be frog food!"

All at once the frogs' sticky tongues shot out. Thwap!

Roxy blasted straight up, getting out of the way just in time

Below her the four frogs were stuck together

" Ha-ha!" Roxy laughed

Croak! A very slimy frog jumped into the air after Roxy

Roxy flew fast

Roxy 飞快地飞行。

The slimy frog hopped along the tops of buildings

那只黏滑的青蛙沿着建筑物的屋顶跳跃。

Wherever Roxy flew, the frog hopped

Roxy 飞到哪儿，那只青蛙就跳到哪儿。

Roxy zigzagged through the air with the frog right behind her

Soon Roxy flew over the lake in Metro City Park

很快，Roxy 飞到了都会市公园湖面的上空。

" What happened to the lake?" Roxy wondered

Just then another frog leaped from behind a tree

It smashed into Roxy and sent her crashing down into the lake

它猛撞到 Roxy，把她撞落坠入了湖中。

While Roxy was underwater, she saw something odd

A mysterious rock sat on the lake floor

一块神秘的石头躺在湖底。

The rock glowed bright purple

那块石头发出明亮的紫色光芒。

" That looks like a meteor," thought Roxy

“那看起来像是一块陨石，”Roxy 心想。

As she studied the meteor, she began to feel strange

当她仔细观察这块陨石时，她开始感觉有些不对劲。

" What's going on?" Roxy wondered, becoming dizzy

She felt as if she was moving really fast

But she wasn't moving at all

" Uh-oh!" thought Roxy." I think I'm growing!"
