" You can't destroy Magica!" Perda cried to Morb

"你不能毁掉玛吉卡！" 珀达对莫布喊道。

She turned to Wyssa." You have to stop him!"

她转向薇莎。"你必须阻止他！"

Wyssa said nothing. She was staring at the contraption in horror

薇莎一言不发。她惊恐地盯着那台装置。

" It's too late," Morb sneered." No one can stop me now!"

"太迟了，" 莫布冷笑道。"现在没人能阻止我了！"

Zann stared at his parents. Their bodies twitched as the memory mice scampered over them

赞恩凝视着他的父母。记忆鼠在他们身上窜来窜去，他们的身体不住地抽搐。

" Are the mice really sucking out my parents' memories?" he asked

"那些老鼠真的在吸走我父母的记忆吗？" 他问道。

" That's right, boy," Morb said." But don't worry

Once their memories are emptied, I'll have no further use for your parents. You can have them back."

Zann shuddered. He'd never imagined there could be anything worse than being separated from his parents

Now he wasn't so sure. He couldn't stand the thought of finding them just in time to watch them forget everything

Morb turned to the Roodian queen." I'm glad you're here to witness this," he taunted

" Without you, it never could have happened."

Still thinking about the past, Zann stared at his parents

Then he noticed a couple of memory mice sniffing curiously in his direction

这时，他注意到几只记忆鼠正朝他这边好奇地嗅着。

He looked over at Wyssa." How do people invite the mice to eat their memories?" he whispered

他看向威莎，低声问道：“人们是怎么邀请这些老鼠来吃掉记忆的？”

She appeared confused." Simply by opening their minds to them."

她似乎有些困惑，答道：“只要对他们的思想敞开就行。”

" Good." Zann glanced at his friends and Venna

“好。”赞恩瞥了一眼他的朋友们和文娜。

" Start thinking about Magica," he whispered

“开始想魔法。”他低声说。

旁白 neutral

" Any memories you can come up with

“你能想到的任何记忆。

And invite the mice to come to you."

然后邀请那些老鼠到你这边来。”

" What?" Perda looked alarmed." You mean ask those things to eat our memories?"

“什么？”佩尔达一脸惊恐。“你是说让那些东西吃掉我们的记忆？”

Zann nodded." There are five of us, and only two of my parents," he said

赞恩点点头。“我们有五个人，而我父母只有两个，”他说。

" Maybe we can draw the mice away!"

Morb glanced over." What are you whispering about over there?" he snapped

莫布瞥了一眼。“你们在那边嘀咕什么呢？”他厉声问道。

" You should be grateful that you're here to see this

Otherwise you'd have only moments to live." He smirked

" Of course, I can't guarantee you have much longer than that

The Beast of the Otherworld is always hungry."

Zann ignored Morb and focused his thoughts on home

As more and more memories flooded his mind, Zann tried to send them toward the mice, inviting them to share

One mouse wiggled its nose. Then it jumped down from Zann's father and took a step toward Zann

A second mouse followed, and then a third

Soon all the mice were scampering across the room, headed for Zann and his friends

" N-now what?" Gliss asked nervously, backing away as far as the troll restraining her would let her

Once again Morb had turned away to taunt the Roodian queen

When he finally noticed the memory mice moving away from his machine, he let out a howl of fury

" To me!" Wyssa intoned at the same time

Zann held his breath as Wyssa's spell grabbed his parents and dragged them over to join the others

A split second later, the trolls were flung against the walls, and a Shield spell appeared around the rest of the group

" No!" Morb flung a bolt of energy at Wyssa

“不！”莫布朝威莎射出一道能量弹。

But it bounced off the glowing shield and ricocheted around the room

Zann hardly noticed. His parents looked dazed and weak

赞恩几乎没有察觉。他的父母看起来昏沉又虚弱。

They stared at him blankly, and for a moment he was afraid it was too late

Then his mother's eyes brightened." Zann?" she whispered, reaching out to touch his face." Is it really you?"

Zann's father smiled feebly." We've missed you so much, son."

赞恩的父亲虚弱地笑了笑。“我们好想你，儿子。”

" They remember you!" Perda exclaimed

“他们记得你！”佩达喊道。

" Of course we do," Zann's mother said." But my head feels so fuzzy..."

“我们当然记得，”赞恩的母亲说，“但我的脑袋感觉好模糊……”

" You're lucky. The mice probably didn't focus on any particular memory," Wyssa told Zann's parents

"你们很幸运。那些老鼠大概没有盯上某个特定的记忆，" 威莎告诉赞恩的父母。

" They just nibbled away here and there

"它们只是这儿啃啃，那儿咬咬。

You two will be weak for a while, but your memories should come back."

Zann finally looked out through the shield

赞恩终于透过护盾向外望去。

Morb was gnashing his teeth and stalking back and forth, occasionally blasting a troll

莫布正在咬牙切齿地来回踱步，偶尔向一个巨魔发起攻击。

" It's not enough!" he cried." I still don't have enough power!"

"这还不够！" 他大喊道。"我的力量还是不够！"

" He's right. Look!" Perda pointed to the tube

"他说得对。看！" 佩尔达指着管子说。

The glowing energy stopped just short of the top

Morb snarled and then climbed into the machine!

" Even a Void has memories," he hissed

" I suppose mine will work just as well as any

I have a few childhood memories I wouldn't mind getting rid of!"

Venna gasped." We have to do something!"

" Stand back," Wyssa said grimly

She waved a hand, and the shield disappeared

她挥了挥手，护盾消失了。

Wyssa sent a huge Blast spell flying toward the contraption. But it stopped short, fizzling away

威莎向那台装置发射了一个巨大的冲击咒。但它飞到一半就停住，嘶嘶地消散了。

" It's not working!" Gliss cried

“不管用！”格丽丝喊道。

" I can see that, girl," Wyssa snapped

" The power of the Horns is blocking all magic."

“号角的力量阻挡了所有魔法。”

" Maybe I can still get through." Darb handed the mibbit to Gliss and then rushed toward the machine

“也许我能冲过去。”达布把米比特递给格丽丝，然后冲向那台机器。

But some unseen force bounced him back

但是一股无形的力量把他弹了回来。

He landed on the stone floor with a grunt

他闷哼一声，摔在了石头地板上。

Venna paled." There's no way to stop him! Magica is doomed!"

薇娜脸色苍白。“没办法阻止他了！玛吉卡要完了！”

Morb cackled as the mice continued to feed

莫布咯咯地笑着，老鼠们继续进食。

His body slumped weakly, but his eyes glittered with triumph

他的身体虚弱地瘫软下来，但眼中闪烁着得意。

" How do you like that?" he spat

“感觉如何？”他啐了一口。

旁白 neutral

" It took a Void to figure out how to focus enough magic energy to destroy Magica." He grinned nastily

“需要一个虚空者，才能想出如何集中足够的魔法能量来摧毁玛吉卡。”他狞笑着说。

" Then again, who else but a Void could really appreciate the true power of magic energy? Others take it for granted

But I could see how something that's harmless when used for small spells can be devastating when used for large ones!"

" What are we going to do?" Perda cried

Zann didn't answer. All he could do was watch as the tube filled to the top

Morb brushed the mice off himself and got out of the machine

莫布掸掉身上的老鼠，从机器里出来。

His mouth curled into an evil smile as he flung the hatch open

他猛地打开舱门，嘴角浮现出邪恶的笑容。
