Soon the children reached a large house

Vinnie watched a woman pounding something with a thick stick

" She's pounding rice," explained Gildong

The children saw a room with a big table

孩子们看到一间房里有一张大桌子。

A girl was placing food there

一个女孩正在那里摆放食物。

" I'm hungry," Mandy said

" Sorry, but the food is for the ceremony," said Gildong

The children turned to see an old woman waving at them

" Finally!" she said to Gildong

“终于来了！”她对吉东说。

" You have come with the bowls!

“你们把碗带来了！

We are thankful your father could make these for us."

我们很感谢你父亲能为我们做这些碗。”

Gildong unwrapped the basket and gave the bowls to the woman

吉东打开篮子，把碗递给了妇人。

" May I look at one?" asked Mandy

“我可以看看一个吗？”曼迪问。

" Yes." The woman handed one to her

“可以。”妇人递给她一个。

" It's so smooth," Mandy said

“真光滑。”曼迪说。

" One day I will make bowls like that too," said Gildong proudly

“有一天我也要做出那样的碗。”吉东自豪地说。

The woman thanked the children for bringing the bowls

妇人感谢孩子们把碗送来。

" You must have a snack before you leave," she said

I will be back in a few minutes."

The woman soon returned

He popped a soft white rice cake into his mouth

When they were finished, Gildong stood and bowed to the woman

Vinnie and Mandy hopped up too and bowed

The children left the house

Suddenly Gildong stopped

" Hmm," he said." Do you hear something?"

Mandy's face lit up

" Yes!" she said." I hear music!"
