Uncle Bert knocked over the salt shaker with his flipper

sending salt flying.

" Oops!" He quickly took a pinch of the spilled salt

and threw it over his left shoulder.

" Why'd you do that?" Ben asked

" Spilling salt is bad luck. This undoes it," Uncle Bert said

Glistening lines of slime zigzagged all over the stage

I made them." She looked down at herself

Jen nodded." I won't let you down, Ms. Lafang. And I'll clean up the slime."

" Marvelous. Now let's begin with Ben's entrance onto the stage."

Victoria turned to Ben.

" I hope you're ready, Ben

“我希望你准备好了，本。

旁白 neutral

No pressure, but as the lead character, this entire production

rests on your shoulders."

Ben gulped." I'm ready, Ms. Lafang."

本咽了口唾沫。“我准备好了，拉芳老师。”

He turned away for a second so she wouldn't see him wiping beads

of sweat from his forehead.
