Sid floated into the air and let out a teeny, tiny, little boo

" Ugh." He hung his head." I'll never be any good."

" Sure you will," Mog said encouragingly." You just need lots of practice."

Sid flew up higher this time

He took a bigger, deeper breath, and then let out a slightly louder boo

" Better. Now try breathing in through your nose," Mog suggested

Sid tried and his boo got a little scarier

But he was privately thinking that Sid had a long way to go

" You two sit on the seesaw," Mog said," and I'll show you what I mean."

Ben and Sid balanced on each end of the seesaw and watched

as Mog took a deep, long, breath through his nose.

Next he bared his claws and gnashed his fangs — and let

out a snarl so loud, it shook the ground.

" Whoa!" Startled, Ben yelled and dropped to the ground

hard on his end of the seesaw.

In his fright he forgot about Sid, who went flying through the air

and crashed into the garbage cans.

旁白 neutral

Sid broke into tears and then flew into the house, crying," Mommy!"

希德哇地一声哭了出来，然后飞进屋里，喊着：“妈妈！”

Mog sighed." I guess I can be too scary sometimes!"

莫格叹了口气：“看来我有时候确实太吓人了！”

The next day was Sunday

The Green Club had agreed to work every day until the wedding

to get the garden ready.

Ben and Sid were the first to arrive at school

Ben dropped his backpack and was about to fetch

some tools when Mog arrived.

Sid took one look at Mog and hid behind Ben

" Wait!" Mog made a funny face." Look, Sid, I'm not scary!"

" Um...," Ben said." That expression actually makes you look scarier, Mog."

“呃……”本说，“莫格，你那个表情其实让你看起来更吓人了。”

" How about this?" Mog turned upside down and stood on his head

“这样呢？”莫格倒立起来，用头撑着地。

Sid was still scared

希德还是很害怕。

But then Mog's horns got stuck in the ground

可就在这时，莫格的角卡在了地上。

Sid and Ben burst out laughing as they watched Mog try

to pull his horns out of the ground.

" Phew!" Mog exclaimed when he finally jumped

to his feet. "See? I'm not that scary."

" Nope!" Sid laughed." You're silly!"

“一点都不！”希德笑着说，“你好傻！”

After the rest of the Green Club had arrived, Ben asked

everyone to gather around.

" I want to make sure that everything goes smoothly, so I

made a map of where all the plants and stuff should go."

Ben grabbed his backpack and pulled out the map

本抓过背包，拿出了那张图纸。

" What the...?" He blinked in surprise

“这怎么……？”他惊讶地眨了眨眼。

" That's weird. It looks like something was eating

my map. I can't even read it now."

" Maybe Sid forgot to eat breakfast," Mog joked

" Or a mouse got into your backpack," Gaby suggested

“或者有老鼠钻进了你的背包。”加比猜测道。

Ben checked." Nope, nothing's in there." He shrugged

" I guess I'll just draw a new map from memory

I hope I remember everything."

" Uh-oh," Waldo teased him." Things involving your

memory usually don't go very well, Ben."

Ben groaned and nodded." Don't remind me!"
