" Let's continue our tour, shall we?" Mr. Freaky said

Mr. Freaky led the people down the hall, away from the main entrance

" Phew!" Ben floated down to Winnie." We're lucky nobody got hit."

He could see that Winnie was worried." What's wrong?" he asked

" Let's do a quick check of the school to make sure that everything looks okay

For the next few minutes, the two of them raced around the school building

looking for things that might worry Dave's mother and the other parents.

Winnie removed some sticky cobwebs from the library, and Ben hid some

spooky ingredients in the cooking classroom and science lab.

A short while later, they saw Mr. Freaky walking the guests back

to the main entrance.

" Well, Freaky," Mayor Hubbletree grumbled

" This place isn't as nice as our schools in People Place, but I guess it's clean

and safe enough for Friday's sleepover."

He looked at the other adults." Parents, are you satisfied with what you've seen?"

Slowly the two women nodded

" I wish we'd gotten to see the industrial arts classroom," Mr. Chin snapped

" But I guess there's nothing we can do if you can't find the key

I just hope my daughter is safe on Friday night."

Mr. Freaky beamed

The humans' eyes went wide

At last the humans got back in the mayor's limousine and drove away

Mr. Freaky immediately collapsed on a bench

When they reached school, Ben saw the safety patrol officers leaving the gym

The school day hadn't started yet, but the four officers

already looked exhausted.

Waldo explained that Mr. Gwarg had been running safety drills with

them since early morning.

" I'm ready to go back to bed!" Mog groaned

" After the inspection I left a bunch of messages for Dave," Jen said

" Well, I heard his mom say that Monster Academy looked fine," Ben said
