" I beat up that lion's insides and broke one of his teeth."

" The demons are scared of me now."

" They promised to let us cross their mountain safely."

Wujing helped the monk climb onto the horse

The other travelers started walking

They hadn't gone far when they saw a large figure ahead, blocking the road

" I've been dealing with these demons all day."

" Baje, it's your turn to fight them."

“八戒，该你上了。”

" Okay!"

Waving his rake, the pig charged toward the elephant

八戒挥舞着钉耙，朝大象冲去。

The elephant blocked the rake, spun around, and struck back

大象挡住了钉耙，转身反击。

Baje jumped out of the way

The elephant jerked his head, and his trunk shot out

大象猛甩脑袋，鼻子伸了出来。

Before Baje could duck, the trunk wrapped tightly around his body

八戒还没来得及躲开，象鼻就紧紧地缠住了他的身体。

As the elephant ran off with Baje, Wukong groaned

大象带着八戒跑了，悟空叹了口气。

The monkey turned to his companions

猴子转向同伴们。

" You two wait here."

" I'll go save the pig."

“我去救那头猪。”

Wukong returned to the demon's cave and turned into a fly

悟空回到妖怪的洞穴，变成了一只苍蝇。

He found Baje deep inside the cave

他在洞穴深处找到了八戒。

The pig was tied up, floating in a tub of salt water

猪被捆着，泡在一桶盐水里。

Wukong changed back into himself and untied his companion

悟空变回原形，解开了同伴的绑绳。

" Thank you," said Baje

“谢谢你，”八戒说。

" Those demons were planning to pickle me!"

" You're welcome, Baje," said Wukong

“不客气，八戒，”悟空说。

The elephant's trunk wrapped tightly around Wukong's chest

大象的鼻子紧紧地缠住了悟空的胸口。

Then the elephant stepped out of a dark corner

然后大象从一个黑暗的角落走了出来。

" I knew you'd come to save your friend," said the elephant

“我就知道你会来救你的朋友，”大象说。

" Now you can't protect the Tang Monk!"

" My trunk is very strong!"

Wukong's arms were still free

He pulled out his iron bar, which instantly grew

With all his strength, he slammed it down on the elephant's trunk

他用尽全力朝大象的鼻子砸了下去。

" Ow! Ow! Ow!" the elephant cried

He released Wukong and fell backward

The monkey glared at the elephant for a moment

Then he put the iron bar away

Wukong and Baje left the cave and returned to their companions

The raptor had grabbed the monk's companions with its talons

With a powerful flap of its wings, the giant bird flew away
