Wukong was angry at the guard at the southern gate of heaven

" I can do that only if I have permission from the Jade Emperor."

" I'm trying to save the Tang Monk," cried Wukong

“我在试图救唐僧，”悟空喊道。

" A demon is planning to eat him."

“一个妖怪打算吃他。”

" I'm sorry," said the guard

“抱歉，”守卫说。

" But I can't help you."

“但我没法帮你。”

Wukong's eyes became dark and angry

He pulled the iron bar out of his ear

A messenger ran into the Cloud Palace and bowed

一个信使跑进云宫，行了一礼。

" Sun Wukong is at the southern gate of heaven, Your Majesty."

“孙悟空在天宫南门，陛下。”

" He's going to destroy heaven if we don't do what he says."

“如果我们不照他说的做，他就要毁了天宫。”

The Jade Emperor slammed his fist down

玉皇大帝一拳砸下去。

" That rotten monkey!"

“那个可恶的猴子！”

" What does he want?"

“他想要什么？”

" He wants us to close the gate and dim the stars," said the messenger

“他要我们关门并让星星变暗，”信使说。

" Why?" asked the emperor

“为什么？”皇帝问。

" He wants to pretend heaven got sucked into a gourd," said the messenger

“他想假装天宫被吸进了葫芦，”信使说。

The Jade Emperor looked confused

玉皇大帝看起来很困惑。

" Why does he want to do that?"

“他为什么要这样做？”

旁白 neutral

" He didn't say," said the messenger

“他没说，”信使说。

" He just said he's trying to save the Tang Monk."

“他只说他在试图救唐僧。”

The Jade Emperor sighed

玉皇大帝叹了口气。

" You have my permission to close the gate and dim the stars."

“我准许你们关门并让星星变暗。”

" I don't want any more trouble from that monkey."

“我不想再被那只猴子惹麻烦了。”

The messenger returned to the gate

信使回到了门前。

" We will close the gate and dim the stars," he said

“我们会关门并让星星变暗，”他说。

" Good," said Wukong

“好，”悟空说。

旁白 neutral

He put the iron bar back in his ear

他把铁棒放回了耳朵里。

" Wait until I say heaven."

“等我说天宫的时候再做。”

Wukong returned to his body, which was still in disguise as a demon

悟空回到了他的身体，仍然伪装成妖怪的样子。

" Now I will call to heaven," said the monkey to the demon

“现在我要召唤天宫了，”猴子对小妖怪说。

" The whole place will get sucked into this gourd."

“整个天宫都会被吸进这个葫芦里。”

He held up the gourd

他举起葫芦。

" Heaven!"

“天宫！”

旁白 neutral

Right away, the sky went dark

马上，天空变暗了。

" Amazing!" cried the demon

“太神了！”小妖怪喊道。

旁白 neutral

" All of heaven is now in that gourd?"

“整个天宫现在都在那个葫芦里？”

" Yes," said Wukong

“是的，”悟空说。

旁白 neutral

" All the stars, planets, spirits, and gods are in here."

“所有的星星、行星、神仙和神明都在里面。”

" Even the Cloud Palace is in here, with the Jade Emperor, too."

“连云宫也在里面，玉皇大帝也在。”

" Now I will let heaven back out."

“现在我把天宫放出来。”

He held up the gourd

他举起葫芦。

" Heaven, return!"

“天宫，回来！”

旁白 neutral

The sky lit up again

天空又亮了起来。

" Fascinating," said the demon

“太神奇了，”小妖怪说。

旁白 neutral

" Let's trade gourds."

“我们交换葫芦吧。”

旁白 neutral

He handed his gourd to Wukong

他把葫芦递给了悟空。

旁白 neutral

Wukong gave the fake gourd to the demon

悟空把假葫芦给了小妖怪。

旁白 neutral

Then he made the real gourd tiny and hid it in his robe

然后他把真葫芦变小，藏在了长袍里。

" I'll try to capture heaven now," said the demon

“我现在试试收天宫，”小妖怪说。

旁白 neutral

He held up the gourd

他举起葫芦。

旁白 neutral

" Heaven!"

“天宫！”

旁白 neutral

Nothing happened

什么也没发生。

旁白 neutral

" Heaven!" said the demon again

“天宫！”小妖怪又喊了一次。

旁白 neutral

" Heaven! Heaven!"

“天宫！天宫！”

旁白 neutral

He looked at the gourd

他看着葫芦。

旁白 neutral

" This gourd isn't working."

“这个葫芦不管用。”

旁白 neutral

" What's wrong with it?"

“它怎么了？”

旁白 neutral

Wukong laughed and made the fake gourd disappear

悟空笑了，让假葫芦消失了。

Then he made himself invisible

然后他隐身了。

" I was tricked!" cried the demon

“我被骗了！”小妖怪喊道。

旁白 neutral

" I must tell Golden Horn!"

“我必须告诉金角！”

旁白 neutral

The demon ran off, and Wukong followed

小妖怪跑了，悟空跟了上去。

Soon the road went up a mountain

很快路开始上山。

The demon ran into a cave

小妖怪跑进了一个洞穴。

Wukong made himself visible and stormed into the cave

悟空现出身形，冲进了洞穴。

Looking around at the group of demons, he pulled out his iron bar

他环顾一群妖怪，拔出了铁棒。

" Return my friends at once!" he shouted

“立刻还我朋友！”他喊道。

旁白 neutral

" Or I'll clobber all of you!"

“否则我把你们全部揍了！”

旁白 neutral

" Wukong!" cried the small demons

“悟空！”小妖怪们喊道。

旁白 neutral

They ran in every direction, tripping over one another

他们四处逃窜，互相绊倒。

Wukong swung his iron bar at Golden Horn

悟空向金角挥出铁棒。

旁白 neutral

The demon stepped out of the way and pulled a golden rope from his sleeve

妖怪闪到一边，从袖子里抽出一根金绳。

He swung the rope, and it shot toward Wukong

他挥动金绳，金绳射向悟空。

The monkey tried to get out of the way, but the rope snagged him

猴子试图躲开，但金绳缠住了他。

It looped around his waist

金绳绕在了他的腰上。

旁白 neutral

The more Wukong tried to wriggle free, the tighter the rope got

悟空越挣扎，绳子勒得越紧。

Golden Horn laughed

金角笑了。

旁白 neutral

" You'll never escape the golden rope."

“你永远也逃不出金绳。”

旁白 neutral

" Tonight I will dine on the Tang Monk."

“今晚我就要吃唐僧了。”
