Then the doctor let out such a cry that Tommy dropped two pieces of fruit

Tommy held up a fruit that looked like an orange

He placed the insect inside and put the cut out part back in place — like a lid

Climbing up the mountain was long and difficult

After many hours, Dr. Dolittle and the others finally made it to the top

" We will find Long Arrow tonight," Dr. Dolittle said firmly

" The jabizri will lead us to Long Arrow," said the doctor

So Tommy took the lid off the fruit and watched as the jabizri crawled out

" Keep your eye on it," instructed the doctor

The jabizri stretched its six legs then walked around in a circle three times

" What's it doing?" Charles cried impatiently

" The poor thing is stretching," said Polynesia

" It was trapped in that fruit for a very long time."

Finally the jabizri began to move

They had been standing on the hawk's head all along

" Then Long Arrow must be..." the doctor looked all around

This rock must have fallen and blocked the entrance!"

The doctor started to bang against the rock

" Hurry! We don't have much time!" shouted Polynesia

“快点！我们没多少时间了！”波利尼西亚喊道。

Dr. Dolittle and Charles tried to push the rock

It wouldn't budge

Tommy noticed the bottom of the rock was resting on soft ground

" If we remove this dirt, maybe the rock will fall down by itself."

They all got on their knees and started to dig away the dirt

Soon the big rock started to shake back and forth

They watched as the giant rock fell away from the mountain and crashed

It had indeed been covering the entrance to a cave
