" But you-know-who is lurking in the waters," she whispered

" You mean... you mean..." Mrs. Bluewing's eyes got big

" That's right! The prince of the swamp!" snapped the crocodile as he leaped up from under the water

“没错！沼泽王子！”鳄鱼猛然从水下一跃而出，厉声说道。

The crocodile was about to go back to sleep when..

" Ouch! Ouch!" he cried out. The crocodile rubbed his jaw

The ache was coming from inside his mouth

When he couldn't stand the pain any longer, he decided to go to the dental clinic

" Help! It hurts so much!" the crocodile roared

No one expected to see the crocodile at the dental clinic!

He had never been there before. The dentist was a very old bird

" What seems to be the problem?" he asked in a low, slow voice

“哪里不舒服？”他用低沉缓慢的声音问道。

" My teeth hurt!" moaned the crocodile

“我牙疼！”鳄鱼呻吟道。

" Open your mouth and say,' ahhh,'" the dentist instructed

“张开嘴，说‘啊——’，”牙医指示道。

The crocodile opened his mouth as wide as he could and said," Ahhh!"

鳄鱼尽量张大嘴巴，说道：“啊——！”

The dentist's head disappeared into the crocodile's mouth

牙医的头消失在鳄鱼的嘴里。

" How long have you had this pain?" he asked from inside

“你疼了多久了？”他从里面问道。

" Urhemghehmdogoeth," answered the crocodile

“呜呃嗯呃呃哦呃，”鳄鱼回答道。

" It looks pretty bad. I have to go in deeper," the dentist said

“看起来挺严重的。我得再钻深一点。”牙医说。

" Urghemdogege," replied the crocodile

“呜噜咕噜嘎嘎。”鳄鱼回答道。

" Don't worry. I'll be careful," echoed the dentist

“别担心。我会小心的。”牙医也跟着说道。

Suddenly there was a rumbling noise. It came from the crocodile's stomach!

突然，传来一阵咕噜噜的声音。是从鳄鱼的肚子里发出来的！

The crocodile was in so much pain that he had forgotten to have lunch!

鳄鱼疼得厉害，都忘记吃午饭了！

He felt very hungry." Wait a minute," he thought to himself

他感到非常饿。“等一下，”他心想。

" There is a bird inside my mouth! I can eat him!"

“我嘴里有只鸟！我可以吃掉他！”

" Almost finished!" the dentist suddenly shouted from inside

“快好了！”牙医突然从里面喊道。

" How does it feel?" The dentist pulled his head out of the crocodile's mouth

“感觉怎么样？”牙医把头从鳄鱼嘴里缩了回来。

" The pain's gone! It's gone!" the crocodile shouted with joy

“不疼了！不疼了！”鳄鱼高兴地喊道。

" Unless you take care of your teeth, the pain will come back," the dentist warned him

“除非你好好护理牙齿，不然还会疼的。”牙医警告他。

" How can I take care of my teeth?" asked the crocodile

“我该怎么护理牙齿呢？”鳄鱼问道。

" You can't do it by yourself

“你自己是做不到的。

旁白 neutral

I must clean them for you," said the dentist

必须由我来帮你清洁。”牙医说。

The crocodile thought about his lunch again, but he decided not to eat the bird

鳄鱼又想起了他的午餐，但他决定不吃这只鸟了。

Of course, the crocodile still eats whatever he wants, but he must go to the dentist for regular checkups
