Zann struggled for breath as the fabric completely enveloped everyone

当布料完全包裹住每个人时，Zann 挣扎着呼吸。

" Don't you ever listen, boy?" Wyssa's muffled voice came from nearby

“你就从来不听吗，小子？” Wyssa 闷闷的声音从附近传来。

" I'd better get us out of Galvan before you kill us all."

“我最好在你们害死大家之前带我们离开 Galvan。”

Zann felt a hand grab him. Zap! He landed in front of the Galvan wormhole

Zann 感到一只手抓住了他。唰！他落在了 Galvan 虫洞前。

" Nice work, Zann," Perda said breathlessly, as Wyssa dragged them into the wormhole." You almost smothered us!"

“干得好，Zann，” Perda 上气不接下气地说，Wyssa 把他们拖进虫洞，“你差点闷死我们！”

" Sorry," Zann mumbled

“对不起，” Zann 嘟囔道。

Once again they were speeding through the vortex

他们再次在漩涡中疾驰。

" How many magical worlds are there, anyway?" asked Perda

“到底有多少魔法世界？” Perda 问。

旁白 neutral

" Nobody knows," Wyssa replied." The nature of wormholes makes it impossible to know for sure."

“没人知道，” Wyssa 回答，“虫洞的特性让人无法确切知道。”

" My parents said that hundreds of worlds have been cataloged already," Zann said

“我的父母说已经编录了数百个世界，” Zann 说。

" But more are being discovered all the time."

“但一直都有新的世界被发现。”

He thought about World X. His parents had contacted Wyssa for help in finding it. Did she know where it was?

He opened his mouth to ask. But a flash of purple light distracted him

" Oh no," Wyssa muttered when she saw the next wormhole

Whatever world the wormhole led to, Zann could tell she wasn't happy about going through it

He soon landed on something soft and squishy

Looking around, Zann could see that they were standing on a puffy white cloud floating peacefully in a clear golden sky

Dozens of similar clouds surrounded them

" I feel as light as a dragon's scale!" Perda exclaimed

Zann felt the same way. He jumped and found himself floating up surprisingly high before floating gently back down to the cloud

赞也有同感。他跳了起来，发现自己意外地飘得很高，然后又轻轻地飘回到云朵上。

Perda did a somersault in the air." Look at me! I'm flying!" she cried

珀达在空中翻了个跟头。“快看我！我在飞！”她叫道。

" Settle down, both of you." Wyssa's voice was stern

“你们两个，给我安静下来。”维莎的声音很严厉。

" We need to figure out whether your friends are here. Quickly."

“我们得尽快弄清楚你们的朋友在不在这里。”

" Okay, okay." Perda sat down on a fluffy patch of cloud." How do we do that?"

“好吧，好吧。”珀达坐到一团蓬松的云上。“那我们怎么确定呢？”

" I'm thinking," Wyssa said sharply." Just be quiet for a moment."

“我正在想，”维莎尖声说，“就安静一会儿。”

Zann bounced gently, still looking around." Hey, look at that," he said, pointing at a cloud far overhead

赞轻轻地弹跳着，仍然四处张望。“嘿，看那个，”他指着远处头顶的一片云说。

It was dark and stormy, with lightning flickering through it every few seconds

那片云乌黑翻涌，每隔几秒便闪过一道电光。

It definitely stood out in the otherwise pale and peaceful sky

在这片原本苍白而宁静的天空中，它显得格外显眼。

" I said, be quiet, boy!" Wyssa barked

“我说了，给我安静，小子！”维莎吼道。

Her face looked pinched and anxious. Before Zann could ask what was wrong, he noticed a new cloud zooming toward them

她的面容紧绷且焦虑。赞还没来得及问怎么回事，就注意到一朵新的云正朝他们疾速飞来。

This one looked oddly glittery. When it came closer, he gasped

" It's a whole flock of those little stinging dragons that Morb brought to Magica!" he cried

" They're called flizzes," Wyssa said." They're very useful as long as you know how to control them."

Zann recalled the painful stings he and Darb had received from the flizzes

He conjured a sturdy stick to use as a weapon if the creatures came any closer

" You won't need that," Wyssa said with a faint smile

" I know exactly how to control flizzes

I'm the one who brought them to Morb."

Zann wanted to ask how many other dangerous creatures Wyssa had brought to Morb

赞想问问维莎还给莫布带过多少其他危险的生物。

But before he could speak, his mouth widened into a sudden yawn

但他还没来得及开口，嘴巴就不由自主地张大了，打了个哈欠。

Lowering the stick, he sank onto the soft, welcoming cloud

他放下棍子，倒在了柔软、舒适的云朵上。

He watched the flizzes gather around Wyssa, who began speaking softly to them in a language Zann didn't understand

他看着飞刺龙们聚拢在维莎身边，而她开始用一种赞听不懂的语言轻声对它们说话。

Beside him Perda yawned as well." It's been a long day, hasn't it?" she mumbled

他身旁的珀达也打了个哈欠。“今天真是漫长的一天，对吧？”她咕哝道。

" I think I'll just close my eyes for a second."

“我想我就闭上眼睛一小会儿。”

Zann was drifting off to sleep too when he heard a soft snore

赞也开始迷迷糊糊地要睡着了，这时他听到了一声轻柔的鼾声。

Opening his eyes, he was surprised to see Perda floating

他睁开眼睛，惊讶地发现珀达正飘浮着。

Above them both was the dark cloud. It appeared much closer than before

在他们俩上方，是那朵乌云。它看起来比之前更近了。

" Weird," he mumbled

“奇怪，”他含含糊糊地说。

旁白 neutral

Wyssa heard him and looked over." Oh dear," she muttered

维莎听到了他的声音，看了过来。“哦，天哪，”她低声说道。

" They're succumbing even faster than I'd feared."

"他们被影响的速度比我担心的还要快。"

旁白 neutral

Glancing at the flizzes, she waved her hand." Go! And hurry!"

她瞥了一眼飞刺龙，挥了挥手。"快去！快点！"

旁白 neutral

Zann watched the flizzes speed off." Where... Where are they...?" Zann paused

赞看着飞刺龙飞快离去。"它们……它们要去哪……？"赞停住了。

旁白 neutral

What had he been planning to ask? He couldn't remember." Oh well," he mumbled." Doesn't matter."

他刚才打算问什么？他想不起来了。"算了，"他咕哝道。"没关系。"

He felt himself floating upward, as Perda was doing

他感觉自己向上飘去，就像珀达那样。

It seemed like too much trouble to resist, so he didn't. Besides, floating felt kind of nice

抵抗似乎太费劲了，所以他没反抗。再说，飘浮的感觉还挺舒服的。

The stick felt heavy in his hand

手里的木棍感觉很沉。

He let it go, watching through half-closed eyes as it drifted slowly upward

他松开了手，半闭着眼睛看着它缓缓向上飘去。

Suddenly Zann felt a yank. Wyssa was pulling him back down

突然，赞感到被猛地一拽。维莎正把他往回拉。

" Wake up!" she ordered loudly." You too, girl!"

"醒醒！"她大声命令道。"你也一样，丫头！"

The old woman bounced away and grabbed Perda, pulling her over to Zann's cloud

老妇人跳起来抓住珀达，把她拉到赞的云朵上。

Perda opened her eyes." What's going on?"

珀达睁开了眼睛。"怎么回事？"

旁白 neutral

Now Zann was falling back to sleep

这时赞又快要睡着了。

Breathing desperately, Wyssa gave him a good kick to the shin

维莎急促地喘着气，狠狠地踢了一下他的小腿。

" Ow," Zann mumbled, scooting away from her foot

"噢，"赞咕哝着，躲开了她的脚。

旁白 neutral

" I just want a quick nap, that's all."

"我只是想打个盹儿，仅此而已。"

旁白 neutral

" You must fight it!" cried Wyssa." Do not fall asleep!"

"你们必须抵抗它！"维莎喊道。"别睡着了！"

旁白 neutral

Zann looked at her with half-closed eyes." Did you say something?"

赞半闭着眼睛看着她。"你说了什么吗？"

旁白 neutral

He heard a snore and saw Wyssa turn her head quickly. Perda was floating upward again

他听到一阵鼾声，看到维莎迅速转过头。珀达又向上飘去了。

The dark cloud was very close now

乌云现在非常近了。

" Wake... up," said Wyssa, pinching Perda. The old woman was beginning to sound sleepy herself

"醒……醒醒，"维莎说着，掐了掐珀达。老妇人自己的声音也开始带着睡意了。

" Stop," Perda protested weakly

"别弄了，"珀达虚弱地抗议道。

旁白 neutral

Zann noticed his stick was getting closer and closer to the dark cloud, which was now directly above him

赞注意到他的木棍离乌云越来越近了，那乌云现在就在他正上方。

旁白 neutral

He closed his eyes and felt his body move up off his cloud once more

他闭上眼睛，感觉自己的身体又一次从云朵上升了起来。

旁白 neutral

Nearby he heard Wyssa mumbling." If the flizzes don't return soon, we'll have to..."

他听到维莎在附近咕哝着。"要是飞刺龙不快点回来，我们就得……"

旁白 neutral

She slowly closed her eyes and drifted into sleep

她慢慢地闭上眼睛，陷入了沉睡。

旁白 neutral

Zann smiled." This is so relaxing. I could stay... here... forever."

赞微笑着。"这太放松了。我可以……永远……待在这里。"

旁白 neutral

Suddenly a bolt of magic energy shot from the dark cloud, obliterating Zann's stick

突然，一道魔法能量从乌云中射出，摧毁了赞的木棍。

Zann opened his eyes for a moment." What was...?"

赞睁开了一会儿眼睛。"那是……？"

旁白 neutral

Before he could finish, Zann fell back to sleep, unaware of the danger right above him

话没说完，赞就又睡着了，丝毫没察觉正上方的危险。
