One day I went into his study whilst he was writing a new novel about a robbery

I used to be particularly uninterested in unreal stories because I didn't like to imagine things that were not really there , but he insisted that it was a true story that took place just months ago

" Almost everything I wrote is true , though I may forget a few details . The story develops round five main characters . Two experienced thieves tried to steal an ancient sculpture at the art gallery . They hired a motorcycle first and then behaved like gentlemen , hanging out for quite a long time during the opening hours . There was not any action until midnight . What they didn't expect was that the police had been waiting outside and roped off the whole area . They also contacted the manager who was responsible for the security in advance . From the moment the thieves bought the tickets with a membership card , they were closely noticed . To everyone's disappointment , the policemen made a wrong decision when the thieves slid out , partly because it's impossible ..."

我所写的内容几乎都是真实的，尽管可能遗漏了一些细节。故事围绕五个主要角色展开。两名经验丰富的窃贼试图在美术馆偷窃一尊古代雕塑。他们先是租了一辆摩托车，随后表现得如同绅士一般，在开放时间内闲逛了许久。直到午夜时分才有所行动。他们万万没想到的是，警方早已在外守候，并封锁了整个区域。警方还提前联系了负责安保的经理。从窃贼用会员卡购买门票的那一刻起，他们就被密切注视着。令所有人失望的是，当窃贼溜出去时，警察做出了错误决定，部分原因是这根本不可能……

He stopped suddenly and asked whether I was listening or not

" Don't tell me the ending part only exists in your head ," I responded

" You're right ! Just help me create something different . Let your imagination run wild and be creative . It wouldn't take up too much of your time and will be of great importance for my writing ," he continued
